Lighthearted Urban Fantasy

Hell's Belle (Hell's Belle, #1)Hell’s Belle by Karen Greco
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A lighthearted paranormal UB with vampires, witches, ghosts and banshees.
A hybrid half-breed vamp who fights to rid the city of rogue supernaturals.
Only skims the surface on each aspect of the story, both the characters and the world building.
So eventhough I can’t fault the author on enthusiasm the story lacked depth. The framework, ideas and creativity are evident, but the author needs to give the reader something they can connect with. It also suffered from too many ingredients in the stew.
If you cram everything in one book then there are less surprises to look forward to in the next one.
The author does seem to have a good sense of humour, so I think this cliché filled Urban Fantasy could be much better.
I received a copy of this book via NetGalley.
